Insights on the First Day of the Wildcard Weekend.

Looking at the first day of the wildcard weekend.

I sat through both of yesterday’s wildcard AFC wildcard games.

In the first game between the 49ers, and the seahawks, it was the tale of two halves. In the first half it was a back and forth game, with multiple lead changes, and it looked like both teams came to play.

In the second half, the 9ers proved why they are came in to this game with a 10 game winning streak, and they put the hammer down, winning the game to advance by a score of 41 to 23.

My conclusion, is that the 49ers are not a light weight, and they must be watched going forward.

Moving on to the night game between the Chargers, and the Jaguars. This game looked like it was going to be a blow-out, and the jag’s season was going to come to a screeching halt.

The Jags were having to fight for every yard, the quarterback Trever Lowrance threw 4 picks, and they had a total of 5 turn overs, of witch the Chargers took advantage running up the score to 27 to nothing.

It wasn’t until late in the second half that the Jjags got any points, getting a half ending touchdown.

However, these cats had a different tune coming in to the third quarter, getting a defensive stop, forcing the Bolts to punt the ball, and they proceeded to outscore the Chargers by a score of 20 to 3.

By the time the 4th quarter came around, the score was a lot closer, and it ended on one final play, a walk off field goal, kicked by the Jaguars.

I honestly didn’t think these cats could pull out a win, but they did, setting an NFL record for the third biggest defeat to come back from and win the game.

The Bolts just seemed to take their foot off the gas, and let the Jags back in, but on the other hand, the Jags clawed their way back inch by inch, showing why they have the heart to do something going forward in the playoffs.
